On a walk

I took a short walk through our neighborhood after supper this evening looking for photo opportunities and found this unique potted plant. I like the texture of the wall as the backdrop.

I went out for coffee with two great ladies tonight... should've gotten a picture from that outing, but instead I'll have to settle for my guitar. Took this out of the neighbor's "garbage" about a year ago now. I need to dust it off and play a bit more...

Every couple of weeks I make a big pile of small pancakes and freeze them so that they can be popped in the toaster for a quick breakfast entree. We don't have a microwave, so this works great for us! Today I made up a big batch. :)

365 Challenge!

A friend suggested a fun challenge which I'm starting today: taking a picture a day for 365 days. The goal is that after a year I'll be able to look back at the photos and remember bits of the year captured in photos. I'll add a separate label called "365 challenge," and so to view these photos, just click on the label title (on the left) and it will bring up those posts. I may not post them every day, but my goal is to take one every day. When I do post I'll add the date above each photo so you know which day it was taken on. This is going to be fun!

I took this outside in my backyard about a half hour ago as it was getting dark... this cloud was so pretty! And the second pic is the reflection of it in a large puddle (which resulted from a large thunderstorm we had this evening).
